Go Green!  Please be sure to sign up and have menus e-mailed to you monthly!

Breakfast and Lunch:  Foods and beverages offered and served at schools meet state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. Meals are prepared and served by qualified child nutrition professionals. We provide students with access to a variety of appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

 

In accordance with the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 (HHFKA) all menus have been updated to meet the National School Lunch Program Meal Pattern requirements, effective July 1, 2012.  All serving lines will have signage indicating which components will be needed to create a full meal.  Please refer to the following:

 

Offer vs. Serve

Five Components Must Be Offered Daily

• Milk

• Fruits

• Vegetables

• Grains

• Meat/Meat Alternates

Three of the Five Components Must be Taken:

Two of the Five Components Can be declined

Fruit or Vegetable Need to be One of the Components Selected, no less than ½ cup each for T-K-5th graders and 1 cup for 6th to 12th graders.

 

 

If a Fruit and Vegetable is selected as Two of the Three Components, the Second Fruit or Vegetable Must be the Full Serving Amount.  Students may decline either Fruits or Vegetables but CANNOT decline both as components of their meals.

 

Breakfast is offered daily at each school site.  Students can enjoy a hot breakfast before they go to their classrooms!  Entrees include, but are not limited to, Breakfast Burritos, Muffins, Bagels & Cream Cheese and assorted Breakfast Sandwiches.  Whole Grain, reduced sugar, cereals are also available daily. 

 

A Nutrition Break is offered Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday at Culver City High School!  NOTE:  If a student chooses to eat Breakfast they cannot receive Nutrition.

A Return to Scratch!

Scratch Cooking is getting more and more attention and that means it is coming with us to school!

Look for Homemade Granola and Breakfast Breads at Breakfast!

Homemade Lettuce Wraps, both Turkey and Vegan options!  Bruschetta Pasta, freshly made Hummus, Quesadillas and of course Crunchy Tacos and Taco Bowls are on the menu at all schools!

CCMS & CCHS students, check out the menu and watch for new Breakfast Sandwiches and Homemade Burritos being served at Breakfast and Nutrition!

Lunch at CCMS & CCHS will feature more vegetarian and vegan options, and yes, the ever popular Shake Ramen will return in September!

Of course we will offer a variety of fresh garden salads, fresh fruits and vegetables, canned fruit, dried fruit and condiments..

A variety of milk choices will be served daily at breakfast and lunch.
